Corey Spring
Director of Music Programming
Corey is a senior at The Ohio State University majoring in Interactive Communications. He has worked at Buckeye TV since the beginning of 2004, dabbling in many aspects of the station, including videography, reporting, editing, and production.
During Corey's tenure at Buckeye TV, he has personally met the likes of: Daily Show correspondent Mo Rocca, animal man Jack Hanna, Saved By the Bell cast members Dustin Diamond, Dennis Hopper, and Mario Lopez, Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel, sex therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer, and Family Guy / American Dad creator Seth Macfarlane. He has helped shoot and produce various news segments, such as this John Kerry rally with Colin Mack in the last presidential election.
Spring has also interviewed or met such artists as Nick Hexum of 311, metal band Lamb of God, rockers Silvertide, classic rock gods Jethro Tull, and Theory of a Deadman. He has also worked with numerous other less known bands like, Oval Opus, Embassy, Northern State, Red Wanting Blue, MC Lars, Modena Vox, Toothpick, and Bobaflex. In addition, Corey has also had dealings with bands, ClickFive, Cake, and American Hi-Fi.
Spring is a former employee of NPR and likes all kinds of music, but his favorite is good ol' fashioned rock and roll. When he's not working for the station, OSU's Design Dept., or attending class, you can find him pissing off his neighbors by rocking out on the drums.
